Software Activation and Licensing: During software activation and operation, our Products automatically collect:

Hardware Identifiers: Device-specific identification data from the computer on which the Software is installed, which may include system configuration details, component identifiers, and other technical information necessary to generate unique license keys and bind licenses to specific devices
License Information: License keys, activation codes, Customer codes, license tier, expiration dates, validation timestamps
Installation Data: Installation date and time, Software version, installed components and modules

Software Usage and Performance Data: When usage data collection is enabled (opt-in, can be disabled in Settings):

Technical Information: Operating system version, hardware configuration, memory and storage utilization, Software version and build information
Usage Statistics: Feature usage patterns, frequency of use, transaction counts, performance metrics, error logs, crash reports
Template Metadata: Statistical information about created content (e.g., number of templates created, complexity metrics, file types used) - we do not collect the actual content, designs, or proprietary work product you create

License Validation Communications: The Software periodically connects to our license validation servers and transmits:

License status and expiration information
Server IP addresses and network configuration
Validation requests and responses
Update availability checks

Website Analytics: When you visit our Sites, we automatically collect:

Server Logs: Date and time of visit, pages viewed, referring domain, browser type, operating system, IP address, domain name

License and Activation Data: Retained for the duration of your license plus seven (7) years for business records and legal compliance
Account Information: Retained while your account is active and for seven (7) years after closure
Support Communications: Retained for seven (7) years after resolution
Usage and Analytics Data: Retained for three (3) years, or anonymized for longer-term analysis
Website Analytics: Cookies and tracking data retained as specified in Section 9
Payment Information: We do not store full credit card numbers; transaction records are retained for seven (7) years

When information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention and destruction policies.

6.1. Data Upon License Termination

Upon termination of your license or account:

License and activation data: Retained for 7 years for legal/audit purposes
Account information: Deleted within 30 days unless retention required by law
Usage data: Anonymized within 90 days
Communications: Retained for 7 years

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:

Opt-Out of Usage Data Collection: To disable optional usage data collection in the Software, go to General Settings Tab, and disable "Help Improving <software>" where <software> contains the name of the software you are licensed to use.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

9.1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit websites. Cookies help websites remember your actions and preferences, improve your experience, and provide analytics.

9.2. How We Use Cookies

Our Sites use only cookies that are required for the Site to work. We do not use analytics, advertising, or profiling cookies. For this reason no cookie consent banner is displayed.

Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for the Site to function properly (e.g., session management, security). These cannot be disabled.

Analytics: We use Matomo Analytics, installed and operated on our own servers, in cookieless mode. It does not set analytics cookies, does not use your data for advertising, and does not transfer your data to any third party. Analytics data stays on our infrastructure.

Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences and settings (e.g., language, layout).

Marketing Cookies (if applicable): Track your activity across websites for advertising purposes. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

Spam Protection: Our contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated spam submissions. Turnstile performs its check without tracking cookies or personal profiling. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

9.3. Third-Party Services

Our Sites display a preview image and title for our YouTube videos. No video player is embedded on our Sites and no cookie is set by our pages for this purpose. Clicking a video preview opens the video on YouTube's own website in a new tab, where YouTube's privacy policy applies.

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

9.4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through:

Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. See your browser's help documentation for instructions (https://www.aboutcookies.org)
Analytics Opt-Out: Our analytics runs without cookies and without any third-party service, so no external opt-out tool is required.

Note: Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality and your user experience.

9.5. Do Not Track

Our Sites do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no industry standard for compliance.

METROWO is based in the United States. If you access our Products or Sites from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

By using our Products or Sites, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your information is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

For EEA/UK/Swiss Residents: We rely on approved data transfer mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions, when transferring personal data outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland.

Our Products and Sites are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
